kiv_jawz 0 Posted February 27, 2002 Niagara Falls, the subject of a thousand pictures. I chose to include the branches of flowers at the bottom right hand corner to differentiate mine from the rest. Is it effective? Link to comment
david yama 0 Posted February 27, 2002 The branches are okay but I would have probably left them out myself. If they were more colorful like with flowers on them I think the effect would be better. Perhaps you should try using a polarizing filter to bring out the sky a little. Happy shooting, David. Link to comment
kar_seng_sim 0 Posted February 27, 2002 The photo looks washed out. Not too sure if it's caused by the scanning process. It would do well to leave out the branches. Also, the sky is plain and uninteresting and thus would be good to include less of it. Rules of third applies here. Link to comment
nomad 0 Posted February 27, 2002 Ditto the comments above. For me the photo is over underexposed. The autoexposure of the camera wants to maket make the white falls into an 18% grey card. The photographer needs to compensate for this by addind about two stops to the exposure. That way the rest of the picture is also clear. The trees in the background are to dark. Also try using slower film, 200 is not bad. For bright sunny days 100 or 50 might be better. Link to comment
gauthier 0 Posted March 4, 2002 You should also try to include all of the falls. A majestic scene cut by the frane of the photo does not look too serious. I don't mind the branches, though. Link to comment
