Jamboree Camel

paul_crowder

28mm f3.5 1/250. This camel was part of a petting exhibit at a local kid's jamboree. I thought this sucker was going to spit on me, but it turned out okay.

Yes I also think that a blue sky would help. In otehr hand, can you close the focus to the camel mouth? I think that the sourrounds distract from it.

The extraordinary expression on the camel's face (insofar as that's the right way to put it) is what makes this an above-average photo. Good choice of a point of view ( a little like the way a dentist sees the world - he too looks up people's noses all day). Can you apply a little unsharp-mask to it tho? Oh, the sky - well, blue is a nice colour for skies, but if it ain't there, it aint there...

That is one beautiful camel, and the angle makes an otherwise not-so-interesting subject interesting. The void-white background (inevitable, perhaps, considering the angle of the shot) is a bit frustrating.

Nice! The nose is well-isolated from the background. Great use of depth-of-field. Check out my camel pictures, too.

I really like this, it made me laugh when I saw it. The only thing is, like other people mentioned, the sky would look nicer blue. Otherwise, great creativity!

Good idea, but poor execution: not enough DOF, empty white sky, distracting red bar and other camel on the bottom of the frame. You could see ore of the animal's face.

Why are the only pictures on this site that make me actually HAPPY goofy animal shots? Thanks! Almost spit my beverage out on the monitor.
