This is near the English town of Bath. Its at the Prior Park Gardens. The photo was taken with IR film.

Photo was taken with a Contax G2 with a 21mm Biogon Lens. The lens had a 25A red filter on it as the Film was Kodak High Speed Infared B&W film. Film was developed in D76 straight. No manipulation other than using IR film.

The use of IR works very well here, it's like the decor of a fairy tale. Plus, the composition is impeccable, as usual. What ISO did you use on your camera or light meter? I wish the sky was a bit less grainy. Do you think it's a little bit over exposed? I enjoy your new pictures from England a lot. mc

Thank you for the comment, Marie Claude. I shot the ASA of the film at 100 and used the 25A red filter using the Contax G2's meter. The neg is a little dense and that hurts you more with IR film as you know (nice photos in your gallery), than with regular film . I do not shoot IR film enough to get really good at it, too fussy and too expensive.I did take a 4x5 over to London and left it at my sisters house. I plan on going back to this spot sometime and shoot it on 4x5 IR film ,which should make for a nice photo. Thanks again for the comment.Michael

the stone is nicely enhanced by the IR a nice grainy look and the vegitation is subtly lightened not to much like snow. I like it.

Superbe !!

A really good shot, well exposed and good subject. I, like the others, like the grain. This is like a dream. Good work.

Bravo !

You've captured the essence of a painting, brilliantly captured. Love the softness in the reflection, and then the harshness of stone. Great work.. Cole

Great capture! I particularly like the grainy, ghostly feel. This is one of four identical 'Palladian Bridges" in the world. It is situated in Prior Park Gardens in Bath - sorry to correct you, but it's the pedant in me!
