JPPhoto1664880217 7 Posted August 23, 2006 This has a completely different look/feel than the other door foto. The model appears to be challenging the viewer in this foto. Link to comment
michael foy 0 Posted November 5, 2006 Hi Jim, Regarding posing. I agree with the previous critiques 100%. There is this vibe of strength, challenge, and purpose oozing from the model. One word comes to mind, "hero". I am just trying to get a handle on this pose. I really like it. Looks like the models weight is evenly dispersed with legs far apart. Feet pointed slightly out. Models hips and legs at angle to camera. Shoulders turned slightly more toward camera. And head turned more so toward the camera with chin slightly down hiding part of her neck. Right and left hands both broken at wrist. I have read that you should avoid photographing the backs of your models hands straight on, but it seems to work great in your shot with her hand on the hip. I would love to read what you have to say about this pose. It's purpose? Your goal? What are the challenges of this pose? Any information greatly appreciated. You seem to have a real good handle on how to pose your subjects. Michael Link to comment
