afs760bf 0 Posted March 7, 2002 It's certainly a good advertisement for a Dimage 7. Very sharp, nice exposure, and crisp, too. Was this on auto-focus? Or did you have to do this manually? Nice shot. Link to comment
chris_browne 0 Posted March 7, 2002 It took me a moment to figure out which end was which, the head is not readily apparent and this is the first thing the human brain tries to discern. The sharpness is quite good, and the colours are interesting. The content is ok, the beetle is doing something. The composition is a little weak, in that it's pretty much a centered portrait of a bug. Maybe a slightly different angle from the side could have imparted a sense of movement to the shot, to reinforce what the beetle is doing. Or, if a portrait was your original intention, closer cropping would have made this better - not sure if you were at the minimal focusing distance of your camera. Overall, pretty impressive for a digital camera without a true macro lens! Good work. Link to comment
adam_buteux 0 Posted June 27, 2003 Sorry but I this is what I feel about the photo. OK it's nice and sharp - trouble is all the background distracts from the subject. You need separation of the subject from the back ground. Also its hard to see what it is - short from the side and lower down would make the subject more clear and stand out from the background. I thought that you could crop the pic a bit too. This would improve things Link to comment
