Storks at their nest.

The original of the "baby-birth-card" in the "manipulates" folder. Let me point out for the interested that these storks were nesting in a ZOO, but they are not in a cage and are free to come and go as they please. you could call that "wild", but they are often fed young chikcken chicks to keep them alive. There's quite recently been a sort of reintroduction-program for storks in parts of the Netherlands and because of that, the elder birds must still quite often be fed. The funny thing is that the youngsters will go south for the winter (instinct), while the birds that were reintroduced here, usually stay in the Netherlands the whole year.
