chris_gray4 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Critiques, more than ratings, are most appreciated. Your thoughts and ideas help me constantly improve! Link to comment
hilander 0 Posted August 8, 2006 This is a very neat technique but due to your long shutter, I can't tell if the bride and groom are in sharp focus. But the more I think about it, I'm sure they have plenty of shots with them in sharp focus so I would take this creative capture over one of those! Link to comment
sarah_newton 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Cleverly and effectively done. The happy couple will adore this . Link to comment

stephaniesaniga 0 Posted August 8, 2006 I like it too! Was it done in-camera or post-? Link to comment
chris_gray4 0 Posted August 9, 2006 First, thank you kindly for all the positive and constructive critiques you've provided. Words can't describe how much your feedback means...especially at a time like this. To Stephanie - I did this in-camera and accomplished the shot within two exposures. There was no post-manipulation of the image other than minor cropping. With the DJ's help, everyone danced in a circle around the couple while they remained completely still. The only part of this image that suprised me was how still her father became in the upper left....he is the sweetest soul I've met while shooting weddings. He cried before, during, and after the wedding. Not out of sadness, but because he saw his daughter for the strong, beautiful, gentle person she'd grown into. His last words to her before he walked her down the aisle were, "Until today I never noticed how blue your eyes were." Then he wiped his eyes one last time. Keep Going, Chris Link to comment
excelguru 0 Posted August 10, 2006 That is SUCH a cool idea. I'll have to steal that idea sometime. :) I, too, would like to see a larger version of this. I think it's fitting that her father is also motionless. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 10, 2006 as stated above, what a great idea! and in only 2 exposures too. I bet they will love it the couple and the father. Knicki Link to comment
