Guest Guest Posted August 9, 2006 Hello ghulam, Seems I'm not allowed to rate this one 7, since you rated one of my picture high sooner today. Well, I rated 6/6, faire enough. I like your portfolio a lot, but this one caught my attention more than the others. It's great to see an old man with a "exotic" look (from my point of view at least) depicted differently from the usual cliche. The expression is great, and even if I don't know what's happening, I understand that this moment is important for him. good job! Link to comment

daily_photograph 0 Posted October 8, 2006 Authentic shot! There will be another opportunity without a person walking through the picture in the background? (Hope is our business :-)) Link to comment

jmoody 0 Posted November 8, 2006 as with everyone else's comments, what a great moment. Wonderful capture of this man's spirit and pride... very natural and spontaneous. Excellent colors and details, and love the shallow dof. Would've liked a bit cleaner background, but sometimes you've got to make do with what you have at the moment. Great work in the rest of your portfolio as well! Thanks for stopping by, and keep uploading your work. Very nice Link to comment

alexander mandl 0 Posted December 28, 2006 I know him. He is the "crazy" flag holder on the Pakistani side :-) I have seen the ceremony on both sides. Butr the Pakistani is better. The uniforms look more nice and the sunlight comes from the better side... regards ALex Link to comment

connections 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Ghulam What a wonderful spirit in the gentleman- I am guessing it is patriotism? Or? And in what country does he live? I have noticed a distinguished presence and stature, a great collective wisdom in your portraits. Thanks for sharing them. Chris Green cajflyawy@comcast.net Link to comment
