First, there are some nice colors in your picture. But the composition is lacking. What is it about this scene that makes the sunset more special than any other scene? Looking at it, there isn't a clear subject, so while we're searching for one, we don't appreciate the colors in the sky. The trees on the right should either be more in the shot or completely out if this is where you really want to take the shot.

As is, it simply looks like a snapshop and although there's nothing wrong with that, you won't get very many great pictures that way. Really take the time to frame the picture - even if you have to take several before getting a stronger composition.
