This is the 4th in a series titled "Breaking the Rules." The

exercise was to create an interesting image by breaking one of three

rules, 1) Hold your camera steady, 2) Have your subject in sharp

focus and 3) Have proper exposure. How did I do? Your comments are

greatly appreciated.

Experiment and have some fun. Just don't expect everyone to appreciate the results!

I've tried spinning the camera, and holding it at arms length and swinging it past flowers. See those results in my Spin Cam and Dollar Cam folders if interested. I've had some good responses, and some mediocre ratings.

I like a shot like this- the smoothness and the bold colors work great.

I have tried breaking the rules and departing from 'traditional' photography and I get mixed reviews. I like the soft pastel colors in this shot and for me the main subject, a yellow flower slightly to the right is discernible. My personal preference is to have some small (does not matter how small) detail to be in sharp focus and that would have improved the photo in my view.

Hope this was helpful.

PS - I liked your first liquid filter application photo. For me the trick is not to overdo it.
