I took this photo a few years ago with a polaroid camera in order to

make Polaroid emulsion transfers. I scanned the original and made

it sepia tone and printed on Hahnemuhle paper using an Epson 1280. I

thought that it may be of interest to anyone with an interest in

Abraham Lincoln. This home is about a mile from the Lincoln Log

Cabin State Historical Site and about a mile from where Abe's

parents, Thomas and Sarah Bush Lincoln are buried. President Lincoln

visited here and stayed with the Moore's on several occasions. Coles

County is in the heart of the Land of Lincoln. If you are ever in

central Illinois, there is much to see in and around Charleston and

Greenup Illinois. Be sure to visit Fox Ridge State Park, the Crown

Jewel of central Illinois.

You've done a wonderful job with this photo and your synopsis of its history. The lighting is very nice. The shadows complement the mood, and the sepia tones are a good choice.

Very good Joe. I do not usually think very much of digital sepia toning as it really looks nothing like a genuine sepia toned print. However this is a wonderful exception that leaped off of my screen. You could not have done this better. My highest regards.

With most of my digital "sepia" shots, I always desaturate to the point of about halfway between a full sepia and B&W. Thanks again, Joe.
