kevin n. 0 Posted May 17, 2001 I take quite a few concert photos and a lot started to look kind of the same. I was trying for something that looked a little different. Does this work?? Link to comment
tom_menegatos 0 Posted May 28, 2001 I like the contrast. It seems to fit in with the whole look of the photo. Less contrast and you wouldn't have had adaquate highlights??? Very nice. Link to comment
jeff_clark 0 Posted July 26, 2001 I'm one to always ask people for more contrast. Add some yellow in the dark room until the area that's highlighted most by the brightest source of light (probably forhead) is balancing between absolute white and gray. Gray in an area with no detail isn't pleasing either. It's a fine line that I'm still learning. And what looks good coming out of the darkroom that day, may be embarassingly bad for you the next time you show you friends and realize it wasn't that great :-) I like the shot and the print. Remember, it's your picture. A lot of folks spend a lot of time trying to please others by their work. Some of the most famous photographers in the world are self taught and learned at a time without the net. I feel that the net is usefull, but being depended on for opinions. People's brains are too soft to not absorb the wrong info. Talk all info with a grain of salt, and use what you want. Keep it fun, or it's work! :-) Link to comment
