dude steve 0 Posted March 27, 2002 Just throwing this one out there since I haven't posted a critique request in a while...comments appreciated, thanks! Link to comment
cdaught 0 Posted March 27, 2002 I've been looking through all your photos and they remind me of paintings, in particular (since I'm Canadian) they remind me of the Group of Seven. I found some paintings by these artists that are interesting comparisons. This one is F. H. Varley - Stormy Weather.http://www.daughtry.ca/extras/varley.jpg Link to comment
giobiondani 0 Posted March 27, 2002 I like the light and colors very much. Nice picture. Link to comment
mark_smith12 0 Posted March 28, 2002 Nice scenic. Using the ND to darken it up was a great touch. It would be great to take this same shot in the winter with some snow on those rocks. The rocky peninsula and tree nicely balance each other and lead out into the lake and the sun brightened clouds. Very nice. Is that the rocky point over by Sand Harbor (looking SW across the lake)? magnus_nystedt 0 Posted March 29, 2002 Very, very nice! Colors are sweet and so is composition. I agree it looks like a painting, which in this case is a good thing :-) Link to comment
dude steve 0 Posted March 29, 2002 Thanks for the comments! Christine's comparison is particularly interesting. Very cool! Mark - yes, it is. Link to comment
alan_lorber 0 Posted March 29, 2002 Good landscape! I'd like to see some more details and emphasis of the snowy mountains. Link to comment
miles_hecker 0 Posted September 8, 2002 I think this image has good potential. It would benefit from a little cropping on the weak left side and a burning in of the tones in the sky. Link to comment
ghiebert 0 Posted September 29, 2002 Naw, cropping on the left would weaken the image. The peninsula of rocks is a strong feature, and they would get cramped. I would be tempted to try widening the image on the left, thus placing the tree comparatively closer to the edge. This is my favourite image in the folder. Link to comment
