abintraphoto 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Yes as you can see the *original* site for StoneHenge was chosen during low tide - before being moved to its current location .... oppps. I actually had that happen one time on the Texas coast - pitched my tent after dark - at low tide. Woke up the next morning to the smell of salt air - the wind in my face - and 3' waves crashing thru the tent door .... )-; I like the oriental look of this and it might look nice in b&w too - a bonus ! marahjj 0 Posted July 21, 2006 I guess you have a better grasp of the tidal changes now :) Good thing it wasn't a rip current!!! I do have a few similiar shots in B&W...feel free to check my folder soon. I'll post a few. See ya round! Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted July 27, 2006 Very nice shot, Jacqueline. Composition, silhouettes and sun are great. Good work! Regards Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted July 27, 2006 Might end up being a bit more cliche', but get back out there with your tripod and try for some longer exposures. You might not be lucky enough to get such a nicely colored sun, but this is a gorgeous composition & it's just dying for a bit more wave action. Link to comment
marahjj 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Thanks for stopping by David~ I appreciate your nice comments! Hi Jeff~ I have returned to this pier so often that it is becoming known as "Jackie's Beach"..lol. You're absolutley right about trying out longer exposures. I experimented one morning and lost everything due to a corrupt cf card but I'll be back there soon to try again.....nice to meet you and thanks for your comments! Link to comment
