Gate to St Albans Cathedral...

Ohhh I like this one Renny - alot of depth to it - nice sky and time of day - well composed - Very good job ... !

 

It is cropped a little close on bottom - so tell me there was a 400' cliff behind you and you couldn't back-up .... (-;

you had some special light there and you leave us with the thought whether the tree or the cathedral is more of a giant (or the cliff-lol)

Ken... You bring laughs while pointing to ways to improve! Hey! I almost fell off that cliff! Well, actually, if I recall correctly, there was a stair at the gate and I was standing in a parking lot area. The challenge was to avoid getting in the way of occasional cars and to get as much into the camera as I could before my family ran off and left me... so I did not get too many shots from this angle. But thanks for keeping watch on me... tough job that ...and I appreciate your comment!

You caught the light perfectly on this one, Renny. The tree provides a perfect counter-point to the church, especially with the 'cathedral' quality light on the tree.
