Another print from this negative had a much higher gray tonal value

and was lower contrast, I seemed to like that better but I couldn't

scan it, so this is the higher contrast print. How is composition,

lighting? any suggestions for burning/dodging? Thanks.

I like the concept here. I would maybe crop out some of the foreground, brighten it a little and increase the contrast a bit - it would really set the shot off.

attractive image, but the scan lines (scratches?) are distracting. Half an hour in photoshop/photoimpact could make a difference.

 

I suspect it is just out of the film's contrast range, but the blown-out snow on the right could use a little burning in.

 

In spite of all that- I like the composition. Thanks for sharing.

What? I don't actually like this piccy it's kind of one of the many photos I have where the idea is brilliant but the execution is poor. Look at the white light exiting the frame?
