a bit underexposed.

This has potential. I like the solemn look on the boys face and the unexpected toy perched there. Clean this up a bit...crop the sloppy edges and maybe some space off the top, and correct the curves and color and you'll maybe have a cool pic.

Nice picture, too bad for the poor quality of the scanning.

Hi everyone...this is Gary Bennett, the photographer. Yes...it is true, I do not have this scanning thing down. I have dusty digital pictures...I scan from prints. I am really a chemical imaging photographer with no digital camera. My stuff seems to look good in print and when framed and in my portfolio book, but as scanned, things sometimes, if not always, go awry. I shall someday get the hang of it.

Your scan quality is a bit poor and you need to crop the image down to remove the black edges. The contranst is too high as well, which makes the jacket look odd. Otherwise, I kinda like the pose.

too soft, too much, perhaps just the top half of the body would be better

Color looks a little yellowed..

I sort of like the softness of it, but the colors are terrible. This was shot under tungsten light, I presume. There's an easy wy to correct the color shift caused by ordinary light bulbs: a 80A filter. But it will cost you two stops.
