adamburton 0 Posted July 15, 2006 Taken early morning at Elgol in Scotland. Whenever I have been to this location I havent failed to capture images that I am proud of. This one has been sitting on the hard drive since last October; I was initially disappointed that part of the mountain was obscurred by the midground rock. I tried to include all the mountain in my composition, but I couldnt get in that wonderful foreground rock at the same time. In the end I decided on this composition, and I think it still works, partially helped by the breaking wave. It was a typically moody Scottish morning, with only momentary colour in the sky around dawn. biggerjon 0 Posted July 15, 2006 Great shot. I would not worry aboput the obscuration by the middle ground which detracts from the image only slightly. Great exposure Jon Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted July 16, 2006 Fantastic work Adam. I don't think the midground rocks detract at all. It seems like the only way you could have shot it without obscuring the mountain is to have been on that wave! I like how the chain of rocks curves around and connects with the mountain range.
