I love the angle, I might have even tried it from a little bit lower to see if we could get a little glowing effect from the light coming through the holes in the hat. Also, as a suggestion, try cloning out the lady in the backrgoun. I love the shadows in this image!

I agree with the idea of cloning out the lady. I love the way the light hits the steps and that you've managed to maintain detail in the face. Fantastic photo - much respect!

Great tones and composition. I like the lady leaving, makes me feel the "look" on the girls' face is somehow tied to the that. It also gives depth to the shot, I wouldn't change it.

After I posted the comment and looked at if for a while I also started to think that somehow this little girl's scowl must be tied to that woman in some way. Maybe she is pouting and refused to move and her mother decided it wasn't worth the fight...

 

So basically I am saying I could go either way on this one! Good shot.
