Really nice. Maybe a catch-lite in the eye. But very few subjects would work with a background like this, and this is one of 'em.

I like the way you captured the red against the background. But I think I would like to see the bird fill the frame more. Have you considered cropping?

that frame the bird would make the icy 'feel' go away. It was not cropped ---might see what it would look like cropped tight. But monochromatic

ice color/red color balance is about right in the original , I think!!
