slice of life A break

I've noticed there're photos which are not suitable for an online

presentation due to the limited view window of the monitor. Therefore

Julia, this is original and well done, Can you explain what's going on there. To be the picture would be even better witout the floor, did you try to crop the bottom?

Julia, very original picture and not at all misplaced on the computerscrean! I agree that the floor should be in the picture. There's enough happening there (colours, light and lines) to keep it interesting and the lines really leed the eye to the letter and people sitting there. Nice work!

It was taken in a big hall on Expro 2000. Some students were taking a break under one of those huge letters.

 

Yes, I do have tried to crop off the bottom to get a landscap format so that the figures can be seen better. The effect is quite different, looks more like a stage scene. I'm afraid the viewer would have even less chance to tell what was going on. Anyway, it's better for looking at on the screen.

This is a terrific shot with interesting lighting. Its equally enjoyable in the macro view to see the big A as well as in the micro view where my eye was caught by the drinker. Great stuff for a poster.

One of those pictures that one wishes was taken with a view camera or PC lens to get the perspective just right and avoid tough decisions about including or excluding portion of the floor later. Other than that, a good job.

Well spotted. I like the inclusion of floor - it leads in to the subject matter which is great.

I like the way u captured the "sliece of life" of the students (?). BTW I notice u created a nice white border with shadow. Is it done by photoshop? Do u mind sharing how did u do that?

I love the lighting and originality on your picture

I really like it this way, also the white behind the letter is good, that's wy I think the flor should remain. I like also the lights :D
