yasirnisar 0 Posted July 7, 2006 This is absolute madness and nothing more than that. I left my job and took two days vacation, went over for two complete days session for this Ten Pegging game, one of the folk games of Punjab in Pakistan in the longest day of the year and stood for more than 9 hours in the hot weather and a temparate of over 45C to shot this game without any shelter. Oh, my God, the dust that you can see over there was also over my equipment and myself and by the end of day I was not able to recognize myself. I am in love with that and I guess that this is a proof of that. I loved this shot and I feel that this is the best that I would have got. This is the whole essence of the game, before the final round of the event took up. The dust makes it look very artistic and very unreal. No Manipulations whatsoever it may be. terri1 1 Posted July 8, 2006 Beautiful shot! I love the dreamy quality created by the dust, flowing robes and gorgeous horses. Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted July 8, 2006 I have seen on photo.net quite some photos from tent pegging in Pakistan. Many of them heavily processed. This one stands out for being more natural. The pastel tones of the landscape are well taken up by the riders who seem to float over the dust. The only suggestion I have is to sharpen the photo moderately before posting it(150%, radius 0.5, treshold 0). Regards. Karl Link to comment
