satishnair 0 Posted July 7, 2006 I tried an unusual take on an otherwise drab morning. Your comments are much appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment
imh 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Well compositionally it works, but it's quite difficult to interpret.. what is it doing there..? one would expect some cratering and steam for a hunk of space debris ;-) Cheers Ian Link to comment
alton 0 Posted July 8, 2006 So it's glowing red hot, which makes it a meteor or a cast-off bit of lava from a nearby erupting volcano? Link to comment
eduard_vulcan 0 Posted September 15, 2006 My guess is that the rock has been lit by a flashlight or a handheld source of light, with a color temperature different than that of the ambient light. It's just a guess anyway, so I might be wrong. Whatever the technique, it led to a nice effect and rose some questions. Congratulations. Link to comment
satishnair 0 Posted October 28, 2006 You got it, Eduard. This was a 30 second pre-dawn exposure, during which I ponited a flashlight on the rock and twirled it around its surface. Thanks for commenting! Link to comment
