pnital 36 Posted July 8, 2006 Good Seven! the justice under the lantern.. Very symbolic;-)). As it is done by human( in court), many times it is a relative justic, and many times it has to be searched for with a flash light.... I would have hanged it in the court house. Real interesting angle , crop bg. and observation. My favorite. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted July 9, 2006 Thank you, Pnina, I was very surprised by this - I had finished my day's shoot and had not got very much of anything. I was walking back to the car and saw this opportunity; I say surprised because I did not remember the lines being so clear until I opened it on the computer - generally if I KNOW I have a shot, I take quite a few exposures but this is the only one. I desaturated and toned as otherwise it was a bit too cold for justice. Your visit is appreciated as always! Link to comment
uneboite 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Hi Seven! I agree with Pnina! Very interesting capture. The background is also perfect. Allegorical. Judicious choice of tones. Perfect composition. Cheers Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted July 22, 2006 The frame (around the photo) gives me pause. The photo is simply terrific! Love it and great photo! Link to comment
seven 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Thanks Biswajit, Joe & Dave. Dave - I agree about the frame; I lost my favourite web frame action & made another which was not great. I've authored an alternative which is an improvement though far from what I had in mind - you ought to see it when refreshing your browser on this page. (The look I am aiming for is metallic as in aluminium.) Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted July 25, 2006 Seven, is this the look your refering too? The way I did this was after creating the matte in 50% gray, added noise then motion blur and then finally the bevel edge stuff. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 3, 2006 Interesting composition, as always. Beyond the catchy formal structure, I'm pondering the meaning... a (darkened) streetlight over justice against the clouds... Link to comment
seven 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Something like that, perhaps a bit less noise. I have an issue with trying to replicate the PS action I used previously - I'll try something based on your advice, but hope I can find an easy way to do a simple frame of a fixed number of pixels without "rounding" the corners as I have sometimes done. I'll have quite a few uploads to make once I process the pics from my recent trip so have to automate. Thanks for the demo, cheers. Link to comment
