scottish landscapes - 04 "Land of Wonders"

unlike most POW's there is nothing unique or different about this image than any other good landscape. In fact, I see more unique landscapes right now on the Top Rated page. A good photo? Of course. POW? Diffenetly not.

Pretty traditional subject; and traditionally executed. The sky grading is a bit too obvious aswell - for my taste, anyway. All-in-all not a bad pic though.

Piotr --- would you be willing to say where your point of focus was; and the f/stop that you used? Thanks. Also, quality of photograph aside...which seems to already have been covered...I like the rock in the foreground as it is...It gives my imagination a place for me to be.

Michael - I used "hyperfocal" focusing method, which for my lens (Canon 10-22), selected focal length (10mm == 16mm after crop) and chosen f-stop (f/10) was something like 0.7 meters, therefore my point of focus was set on the big rock in the foreground.

A beauty without any doubt Piotr. The way the rocks in the foreground are leading the eye to

the wonderful warm lighted old castle in the background is great. Only thing I would have

chanched is cloning out the small dark rock in the water middle left side. It distracts a little in

Wow, this photo is of a breathtaking beauty. The composition, the light, the warm tones make up a great image that shows us the best of this incredible land.
