johncrosley 1 Posted July 4, 2006 This is a very original photo and well worth displaying. However, it needs to have crisper blacks and better control over the mid-level grays, for a more show-worthy presentation, just because it is a good photo, but not well-presented in the 'print' (display) stage as it might be. It needs to be attacked somehow with 'levels' or 'curves' in Photoshop, or even the use of the sliders for contrast and brightness to make the best presentation. If I were presenting it, I might even take it down, work on it, and repost it, as it represents truly a novel photo of the Taj Mahal -- it opened my eyes from the normal cliche. You might want to look at my series of six or seven photos on the Eiffel Tour (Tour Eiffel) in Paris all taken from one window, and how they seem to carry out this same theme, and also how much different each one is, though they all were taken from the exact same window (though at different times with different lighting/lenses/shutter speeds/even white balances. I really think this is a worthy photo deserving some serious more work. (I don't rate, so don't worry that I'm the source of any low ratings you might get.) Best. John (Crosley) Link to comment
