karina1 0 Posted February 20, 2002 My dogs like to follow in the boat when we go out fishing. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted February 20, 2002 First thanks for caring a bit for the abandonned trucks... :-) Now, the dogs... Well, what I immediately liked about them was the "ballet-like" posture - as if they were twins copying each other... Another good point is this cloud unifying both dogs so perfectly... the composition is fine too... What I like less: the little lack of sharpness on the second dog, but I guess that's the best you can achieve with your camera - though I'm not sure about this model of Konika... Finally, the light... If this shot just could have had a great ray of sun on the 2 heroes, everything would be much more vivid and appealing (colors, details). Overall, I believe you did a very good job in not so good conditions... Regards. Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted February 20, 2002 I'd like to see a little more detail in the dog at the front of the boat. Still a decent photo. Link to comment
karina1 0 Posted February 21, 2002 They are looking at a thing sticking up in the water. :) Link to comment
tony p 0 Posted February 22, 2002 Interesting shot of your dogs. It really portrays their inquisitive nature. I agree with the comment on chopping off the dogs legs: Distracts a bit. The light brown wood to the right is also distracting. I would probably try and remove this if you have any photo editing software. As these are your dogs, you must be very pleased with the shot. Portraits of other peoples pets often lack any interest, but yours has captured a moment which holds attention. Well done. By the way, the clouds look wonderful. (P.S. Just returned from my first trip to Sweeden. You have a wonderful country, if a little too cold at times :) Link to comment
simonkeim 0 Posted February 24, 2002 sorry karina, but for me this looks just like a common snapshot. Link to comment
joe_garrick 0 Posted June 13, 2003 I keep coming back to this and I guess I like it. It has a goofy "dogs playing poker on black velvet" kind of quality to it, but I just get a kick out of how they look so engaged in whatever is out of the frame on the right. Link to comment
