RB, thanks for your critique. Well, you took the time to comment so I will give an explanation. Yes, you are right, I shoot mostly in auto mode since I went digital, kind of getting lazy!!! One thing though, I always look at histogram and reshoot if I have to. The thing is though, that exposure is almost always ok. However, there are times when I do go manual with bracketing, specially when shooting something that requires that bit of attention, where DOF is an important element, placing the subject in a zone in particular, etc., etc. Digital has many advantages, reliability on meters, etc., so I take advantage and concentrate more on design and looking around. So, in order to compensate for my newly aquired laziness, I am going back to film, zone system and all, with Mamiya RB67, with those nice, large negatives. I will then scan them, for printing all is time consuming. So while digital has brought me the opportunity to shoot, shoot and shoot some more, it also has brought along some carelessness. So thank you for pointing it out (one cannot fool oneself), and when another discerning eye points it out, less so. So, yes, thank you for your critisism, and no, I will not bite back. Like Nietzche said, "poison that does not kill me makes me stronger" I say that critique, good and bad, gives me learning. Thank you again.

I am sorry that negative reactions from the other members made you keep your work away from us. I can do mistakes but not as obvious as the one you had presumed..

It was my choice of compositions and the right pet looks like my dog when young (as he is his son). No hard feelings; I would like to see some of your work and I can keep a secret if you wish. Catalin

Thanks for your comments about my self portrait .. your perception of the mood I was keen to create with this shot pleases me. It started off purely as a test shot with a newly aquired M2 but I had an overpowering to desire to dress for the photo ... attempting to create the quintisential Aussie photographer!
