Thank you Andrew, Carsten, Thai, Donna and Cherlyn. This is also one of my favourite shots in Tasmania (it's on my desktop)recently. When I look at it sometimes I feel drawn in, other times pushed out by the waves. Cherlyn, drop me a line if you do decide to visit Tasmania. It's the easiest place in Australia to cover, lots of varied landscapes packed into a small area. I'm meant to be returning to Melbourne soon but my work here are offering an extension ... that means more photography here, very tempting.

A sublimely crisp, clear image which, despite that enviable clarity, still manages to convey a delicate, ethereal quality. A dream of an image, Kah.

This is a great shot. It takes me back to my favourite place in the world - Refuge Cove, Wilson's Promontary. Ken Duncan (www.kenduncan.com, I think) has a great panorama of it. I have his book Australia Wide - just amazing.

Thanks Ian and Andy. This is one of my favourite seascapes; I may hang it on my wall some day. Andy I am also familiar with the great work of Ken Duncan. His Cove shot although also featuring sea & sand has a completely different take to this shot if you look again.

Kah, totally agree. The two are completely different. I wasn't comparing your work to Ken's. It was just that your fine shot brought back memories of Refuge Cove which reminded me that Ken Duncan had done some work there. Victoria will always be home for me, and seeing your photo made me feel like I was home again.

As Phil Collins would say "take, take me home. 'cause I don't remember...."

Andy I am ashamed to say I have never been to Wilson's Prom. I have been based in Tasmania for work and have spent quite a lot of time in Italy over the last 2 years. I'm looking forward to getting back to Melbourne for a few months so I hope to get some shots of Victorian landscapes soon.

This is really beautifull, the timing to the wave rolling back and the balance of sky. Nothing over cooked just like I would exspect to see if I was there. Excellent shot.
