mcgarity 0 Posted July 6, 2006 When my wife told me she was going to grow Irises in the basement in the winter I didn't believe she could. I was wrong, she was right. I know others have plowed this field before. Be that as it may I had fun taking it. In any event please feel free to comment, critique, and or critise if the spirit so moves you. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 31, 2006 See what can be done when you're desperate for flowers in the middle of winter? Beautiful shot. What's going on with the job search? I've hardly touched the computer all summer, and am out of touch. Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted August 1, 2006 Thank you Kim. You have no idea how proud my wife was of those flowers. They certainly did lift ones spirits on a cold winter day. When I took this it was well below zero outside. Actually the job search has been put on hold for the moment. I have made a commitment to my employer to help them move a fairly complex operation from California to Washington state. I would like to collect a severance package which means honoring that committment. I have spent most of the last two months in California working long hours. That makes it difficult to look for new work in Colorado. (Or do much in the way of photography either for that matter.) The California leg of this adventure will be ending soon. I will then spend a good deal of time in Seattle through the October / November time frame. I am going to miss the Elk during the rut in RMNP. Guess thats life. Nothing to be done about it in any event. Come the end of the year I will have nothing but free time to look for work. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 1, 2006 So you'll be looking for work when it's cold outside...darn it, that's too bad you're going to miss the elk, because you get the best images of them! I hope you can get some good photos in Seattle, at least. Brrr, all that humidity...maybe winter in Colorado will feel good after Seattle's wet. I don't know much about it, but I think I need more sunshine than is seen there, from what I've heard. Good luck with all that work and traveling. I'll be glad when you're settled down in Colorado taking photos again :) Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted August 2, 2006 I'll second that. Be it ever so humble there is no place like Colorado. :) Link to comment
