While I'm not a polished professional, I can see some good in your shot. I like how the reflection of light in the water draws my eye upwards into the picture. I also like the darkness of the trees reflected. The only thing I would have changed is the crop. I would have taken a little "off the top" to even out the light in the sky with the reflected light in the water. See what you think...

good start with the scene. there seems to be a tilt to left, and the reflection might be too centered. ?did you intend the filmyframe visible on top? jh

In general, it seems to have the makings of a good shot, with feeling, but the sky is so bright and prominent that it draws your attention...but there's nothing up there to see once you get there. Maybe just different lighting would help.
