jheimsch 0 Posted February 19, 2002 You may see a trend in my recently posted photos...about the only thing I can manage to get a picture of these days is my cats (hate to let the gear sit idle). As pet photos go what do you think? I personally like this one since it emphasizes less the cute and cuddly traditional side of pets. I think the chest fur might be a little too blown out...comments or ratings appreciated. Thanks, Justin Link to comment
chris_myers2 0 Posted February 19, 2002 Justin, I like the contrast and lighting. It reminds me of TechPan which I love to use but is fickle about tones (well pretty much straight black and white) as it can be. Nice effect. (pets are always fun to photograph and getting a nice shot is not as easy as it may seem). Good job! Chris Link to comment
mg 0 Posted February 19, 2002 Well, I normally don't quite enjoy standard pictures of cat, but this one got my interest. I like the high contrast feel, and the noble " meditative " attitude of the animal. I have some problems with this kind of texture I perceive in the black - it's very distracting, since the shot is obviously meant to be pure... I would like to be able to feel what's happening at the edge of the black fur... Not see this edge could be fine, and to see it could be ok too... I can't tell here, I would need to look at a print... :-) Good idea, good try, and still quite succesful IMO... Link to comment
bob fowler 8 Posted February 25, 2002 I know how hard it can be to get cat's to cooperate... Anyway, if the detail is there in the negative, try printing it down just a bit to pull some texture from her bib. If the detail isn't there, don't worry as it's still a powerful picture. Link to comment
