jmontgomery 0 Posted June 30, 2006 New D200 shot with some more time in postprocessing ... hope you like it! Please leave me suggestions ... Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Other than cleaning your sensor, not a lot. The inclusion of the person at the water's edge works well and adds an extra element. The grad has done a good job too. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted June 30, 2006 I like this image, the person adds interest, good reflections and comp. Link to comment
jmontgomery 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Jeff ... cleaning your sensor? I had noticed that I had to clean up one small area with the clone tool ... but I am new to the D200 and need to learn more. Can you elaborate? Thanks :-) Thanks for the nice words to you both :-) Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted June 30, 2006 There is a spot between the top RHS of the grass and the sun that looks like sensor dust. Your Nikon manual probably has dire warnings about sensor cleaning. I am very careful when changing lenses to avoid getting dust on my sensor. I would try a blower brush and then take a shot of a clear blue sky to see that the dust is gone. Failing that, google will bury you in info. I use Visible Dust sensor brushes as infrequently as possible. I hope this helps and doesn't confuse any further. Link to comment
jmontgomery 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Thankyou for the response ... this is either dust or a bird ... I'll have to check the NEF and see. I need to educate myself on these issues ... Link to comment
kyang 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Nice to know about the dirt issue since I got D50 early this year. This is well done work. Strong fg and the person is nice touch. Link to comment
jmontgomery 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Kurt ... in fact, I did have dust. I used the procedure that Nikon recommended to raise the mirror and open the shutter while holding the camera upside down. Simply puffed a bit of air from a rubber syringe and it took care of it. I checked by taking a picture of a blue sky and looking for anomolies. Link to comment
vuyisich 0 Posted September 29, 2006 This is an excellent photo. Love the composition and colors. I am not sure about the person walking out of the frame, but it's a minor thing. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
