yeung-seu yoon 0 Posted June 30, 2006 This is great!---They always say that being single is hell, and being married is purgatory, and I think she is bracing herself for purgatory! Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Terrific candid shot. I'm not going to speculate on what she's thinking or feeling other than, "God I really need a cigarette." Link to comment
taaminara 0 Posted July 5, 2006 This is great - an exemplary example (is that redundant? lol) of my favourite type of "people" photography; those unguarded moments that sum up who a person is, or what's going on in that instant in time. I bet this woman's close friends absolutely adore this photo. Bravo! On a technical level, nice job with the focus - the DOF is very effective, the background enhances the subject, giving it context but without being distracting. Link to comment
carole_fishback 0 Posted July 8, 2006 I have to agree with Elizabeth wholeheartedly. I'm a longtime portrait painter who's finally doing photography just as seriously (did it all along but now have the serious equipment and whoa, an EOS 10d too!). I've done a few weddings and family shoots and I always stress to them that posing is rarely the most important part of a photograph. Its the story, it's the 'event' and all that comes with it as this photo demonstrates. She's human = beautifully rendered too. I'll be picking up a 4x5 in the Bay Area when I go there to visit so haven't given up on film either but its nice to see another 10d user out there and know what my camera is capable of. And being a 'people' sort of photographer, artist, I can only hope to capture a fraction of what you have so well! vey nice work. Carole F Link to comment
jovelino 0 Posted August 6, 2006 Once this is not a model prepared scene, it's a once in life photo. Simply EXTRAORDINARY !! Link to comment
