eric_groeschen1 0 Posted June 29, 2006 I need some honest opinions. Any feedback would be a big help. Thanks again. Link to comment
eachica 0 Posted June 29, 2006 I like it... it makes for an interesting abstract... has great texture. What you're missing is another subject to oppose the background... make it stand out... maybe yellow or orange... something bright in color... maybe even smooth in texture to add a different element to the photo. randall ellis 2 Posted June 29, 2006 Assuming that you are attempting to mimic the color of a cyanotype, I would say that the color is not right for an actual cyanotype print I'm afraid. To me, the subject seems suitable for this method of printing, but the color needs to be adjusted and the tonal scale reduced for it to look like a cyanotype print would in person. Also, the highlights would not likely exist as the subject would have to be very lightly colored on the tips and very dark in the rest of the plant to get this type of result and the background would not be nearly so black. I like your vision, and this is an interesting altered image as it stands now, but if it were me, I would just make a true cyanotype print - I think it would take less time. Regardless, I still think there is merit in this image. - Randy Link to comment
