The guy on the right is looking at you as if you were going to take away his beer.

I fear they thought I would present their country in a bad light by taking such pictures. I don't see anything negative here; I hope no-one else does, either.

Excellent candid. This was worth the time it took to open and view. Someone said you have a great way with light. I agree. This makes me look at what I thought were just snaps in my folders. A better control of light is what I need, and a eye for the decisive moment. I love 'street' photography but am not good at it. Looking at this and some of Saul Zelan's stuff makes me think that I might be able, after all, to learn to do a bit of this.

That Zelan certainly has a lot of pictures in his portfolio! I am not quite so prolific. I looked at one or two folders and I have to say our styles are quite different. He is closer to what is conventionally called street photography. I think I am closer to the NG aesthetic.

I believe the phrase was "a great sense of light" in the comments on your portfolio by S.Wayne. :)

 

Yes, Saul has a lot of photos. When I get into his portfolio, I can spend hours there. I am not sure what NG might be.
