Heavily modified photograph of the fans in Kaiserslautern before a

2006 Word Cup game. The photograph itself was taken in boring light

and there was a lot of detail cluttering the scene. I was wondering

if the modification works as a method of conveying the carnival like

atmosphere.

 

What is you opinion?

I like the overall design- patches of red vs blue. It creates an interesting feeling of the 'crowd'. For a more 'festival' feeling, it might help to see specific 'festival' expressions on faces. Your photo reminds me of some paintings by Monet - a city street with colorful flags. Interesting piece.

Very interesting and stylistic. Great colors here, including the greys. Really like the black outlining as part of the style (though I'm not sure how you did this..maybe outline in PS). Some parts (e.g., faces closer to the front) could be a bit clearer, even if only one or two or three. Blue masks are odd too and it's hard to tell if they were in the original photo. Terrific idea, very original, stylistic and colorful.
