This is probably my favourite from this first pier series. Specs : Gitzo tripod, ND grad 2 stop,

ISO 200, f18, shutter 30 seconds.

Well I recognise the tower!

This one has a very calming feel to it. I agree that it is probably the best one in the series, the light on the left with the space of water in between creates interest and gives the feeling that you are walking on the pier and looking over to the light on the left.

The twins I suppose refer to the twin lights shining brightly in the background. The expense of water in between suggest some separation between them both forward and lateral. Both appear to be trying to bridge that gap (pun!) with the wooden bridge and light trail, but never shall they meet

Thank you for the great response to this photo, this being my first pier series. There are many piers near my home. Maybe I should go shooting closer to home.

This is something I always wanted to shoot but I didn?t have the opportunity. I love your angle of shooting.
