Good picture!

Nice quality of tone, shape, form, even a hint of color in the composition, but very 2-D. Would be nice to see more depth and thereby adding another dimension of scale. Nice work!

Kenn, by more depth do you mean a less tight composition? Or shot with a wider lens? I actually shot it through a gap in a fence with my IS lens, would have preferred to use my wider lens on a tripod but was very , limited because of the fence. The light was overcast, I went to photograph a landscape but the weather changed and I came across this building and reckoned the overcast light would bring out the tones of the old building very nicely.

I also came across two rows of terraced houses that looked like ruins that I very much wanted to take, until I heard music coming from one of them and realised there were people living in them. This really shocked me they looked like rat infested shacks and ethically I just couldn't take the shot I wanted because I felt so guilty thinking them as ruins when they were actually peoples homes. 3 weeks later and I'm still shocked about that.

 

If you could please elaborate on the 2D 3D comment I'm very much appreciate it.
