storm over vancouver

I'm torn about my two "storm over vancouver" shots. on a gut level I like these, but I am not sure if they translate effectively on a photographic level, would be interested in knowing what others think

Gwen,

This is a very nice shot; however, the image being so small (even at large setting) does not aid in analyzing it all that well. It is very pixelated so focus and exposure is almost impossible to judge, but everything being clear it is a very nice photo!

Compositionaly, I think this is a great photo. I agree with Chris, it is hard to see due to it's small size and pixelation. I would love to see this photo reposted in a larger size so I can see it again. Of the two storm over Vancouver shots, I think this is the better one because of the lighting on the buildings.

Happy shooting,

David.

Gwen, agree a slightly large image would be better. But I really like this. It looks like armaggedon -- and initially looks like it is a double exposure. Very surreal. Kind regards, m.

The use of a gradual grey filter would have allowed elongation of exposure time and thus enhance the brightness of the buildings. Nevertheless, this is an impressive shot!

thanks for the comments everyone. i should have posted this a little larger, and rescanned to remove some of the heavy pixilation. Peter you are right about the neutral density filter, I finally went out and bought one
