jeff_vogan1 0 Posted February 13, 2002 Wow! Those clouds are awesome! I assume to get contrast like that you used a red filter(?). Very nice shot! Link to comment
eric_devir 0 Posted February 13, 2002 You have really captured the incredible drama of the Columbia River Gorge. Truly one of the most stunning places on this earth. The detail you preserved in the sky is amazing and really adds to the drama and scale of this awesome place. I love the way the landscape drops into deeper shadow but still maitains detail. You have captured excellent tonal range. Link to comment

doug bowles 0 Posted February 13, 2002 This would have been much more dramatic had it been in colour. Link to comment
cristina_wisner 0 Posted February 13, 2002 That is cool! It kind of reminds me of something by Ansel Adams. Link to comment

paul_van_buren 0 Posted February 13, 2002 Wow! This sucked the breath out of me. I can only imagine what this must look like in print. This is an incredible landscape. A great moment with the storm coming in and the sunlight lighting up the villa on the cliff. Link to comment

scott_nelson2 0 Posted February 13, 2002 Color is great if your subject IS color. But in this case, B&W is exactly the way to go. B-U-T-FULL!! Link to comment
randy_cooprider 0 Posted February 14, 2002 The tonal range is terrific. Good balance of objects to draw the viewer into the picture. Like this one a lot. Link to comment

marko_calasan 0 Posted February 4, 2003 I adore landscapes, and must admit, in that great form of photo expression there were meany more B&W pictures that inspired me than the color ones. This one with its quality stands very high, simply it is stunning Link to comment
dan_lindsay 0 Posted August 19, 2003 How's the color version look? Can you attach it below? Nice composition, regardless. This is a favorite spot. Link to comment
Phil Callow 0 Posted February 26, 2004 A great study of cloud form-has the house on the cliff top been "photoshopped" ? Link to comment
