reddoor 0 Posted June 26, 2006 Taken against a strong back light. Any comments or suggestions welcome - Thanks Chris. Link to comment
michael comerford 0 Posted June 26, 2006 A potentially nice portrait, however the background blowout in the upper right, and the consequentially glare around the left side of her face bring it down. Can I suggest shooting against a less bright background ? Link to comment
namurray 0 Posted June 29, 2006 Good portrait Chris. The white background works for me and sets off the blues and other tones. Aunt Mary has a nice twinkle in her eyes and a coy smile; I think she enjoyed having you take her portrait. Regards, Neil Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted December 31, 2006 I like this one. It gives me the feel of being shot on a white background in a studio. Her expression is super & the blue color is wonderful. I would crop out the partial hand. The rule of thumb is no partial limbs :) I also would color adjust & selectively adjust the levels in layer masks. You've captured real personality on this one. The highlighting of her face a bit, mimics using a reflector (which is helpful in situations such as this, but rarely do I ever have one when I need one :) The beauty of the digital darkroom. You can do all the same things as one did when developing film. Some say even better :) Link to comment
