Errr...

I just wander how would you rate this. First critique try :)

Nice kitty, good light, but few visual ideas come to mind as I view the photo. Eyes seem flat, nose perhaps a little overexposed? Lacks highlight detail..

Why does every beginning photographer think their pets are not only worth photographing (which they all are) but also worth showing off? Sure you're proud of your pet, (the cat is beautiful) but unless your photo stands on its own and says something worth saying about cats or your cat, put it in a frame and put it beside your bed.

 

With that said, it's a perfectly fine picture, with a nice focus and good exposure for the eyes. You do however lose highlight detail in her cute cheeks and whiskers.
