doug bowles 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Very well composed and exposed. My main comment (not a critique, per se', just an observation), is that there is a lot, and I mean a LOT to look at in this image. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but there is a lot of detail that can be overlooked if one weren't to take a good look at it. Personally I think it's a great photo. Link to comment
gopho 0 Posted June 21, 2006 EXCELLENT!!!! Such gorgeous everything. I like the reflection, I don't know if a polarizing filter would be better. I like how the ship is framed by the light. I also agree that there is A LOT to look at in this image, and I like that as well. Simply amazing. Link to comment
stephxiii 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Beautiful ! The contrast between the misty see and the colourful front is great. Composition is good too. A really good shot. Link to comment

fiona madden 0 Posted June 22, 2006 Polariser would be great but this is just beautiful!!! Ive seen so many shots of this small island and now I really cant wait to visit it! The bright colour and DOF are amazing! Love those steps! You've really added your own perspective and style to this! Well Done!!! Regards Fiona Link to comment

cham 0 Posted June 23, 2006 beautiful and a great angle... polarising wouldn't help much in this because the sun is in front anyway... and the i don't think the colours need any more saturation, as the balance is perfect... although there's a lot going on in the photo i think that adds to this photo as it's such a great composition, the amount of detail in this picture just means you can spend longer looking at it! agustin.david 0 Posted June 23, 2006 Hi Vincent, I love this image !!! It's simply perfect. The contrast, colour, DOF, landscape, light, compo... everything has been so prefectly captured that it's completely imposible say anything different than I LOVE IT, GREAT JOB!!! Congratulations Vincent. Regards. Agus_ Link to comment
boonwed teo 0 Posted June 24, 2006 Brillant shot landscape, good use of foreground subject. Light control are excellent but there are 2 point for minor distracted. One is you have clipped out part of left side steps and you can wait some more time for a ship to go foreward. Anyway I like this shot very much. Regards, Boonwed. Link to comment
musubi1000 0 Posted June 24, 2006 This is an excellent example from a true master of the camera. There is no criticism worth mentioning as I am certain it is exactly how you envisioned it! Link to comment
misterken 0 Posted July 4, 2006 Awesome shot, Vincent. Your selection of perspective and using the stairs as a framing element is very effective. Well done. Mister Ken Link to comment
friedemann_pistorius 0 Posted January 17, 2009 Vincent, you were right by not (or very carefully) using a polarizer. You show the sea as it looks like in bright sunlight. Also, the sailing ship on the right stands perfect against the bright reflections. I'ver been travelling the Greek islands many times and have been to the island of Santorini at least twice. Besides the very nice overall composition (great foreground!) I can confirm that you've captured the very essential of the Mediterranean - the incredible LIGHT! Link to comment
