Johan Hannes

Shot on a tripod. It's a combination of multiple exposures (bracketing) and a little desaturating in PS

Is the sky real ... this is kool...I guess you might have done a few finishing touches in Photoshop or similar tools to get the lighting right ... in all NICE 7/7.

i think if you turned this into a B&W photo i'd appreciate it, but its just with color it seems a little overdone in photoshop with all the dodging and burning. I'd like to see it B&W personally. Good job anyways

There was a thread the other day titled, "Things I'd Like to See Fewer Photos of". Frank 'Oddsocks' added to the list by including pictures of "Rusting car hulks (invariably hand tinted)". Somehow I think photoshopping such images will not make such images seem any more orginal to him.

To John... and why should I care what Frank says... So it's a manipulated images... do you like it or not and why... I think this images has a lot of POP... It is very appealing in its own right and deserves to be rated highly...

I like the time and detail put into this piece. However, it does come across as a bit overdone. The sky jumped out at me first, very kewl affect, then the grill on the truck. Everything else, for me, is lost in the overall photo art.

At the same time, I think this would be an awesome cover for a southern rock or country music CD.

Well done!!!!

The perspective view is really eye catching. The wide angle distortion of the lens adds interest, very surreal :) I like your choice to desaturate, it works well for me. The truck looks like a work of art itself. The smooth lines of the wheel well, the large, protruding headlights & soft curve of the grill. Even the tire tread adds interest because of the nice side-lighting. While it may not be "break out original", it is aesthetically pleasing, captures & keeps my attention, well composed with nice lighting that accentuates all the right places. Manipulated, yes, but nicely done :) Nice job! I agree it would make a wonderful cover for something :)

This is the most awesome old truck picture I've seen in a lifetime of looking for them. 7/7. Excellent light effects, composition, choice of focal length and vantage point, & Photoshop (I assume)
