bennett ho 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Street markets are a means of economic well-being for a large population of Koreans. In my neighbourhood, they set up market at least once a week and then migrate to a different neighbourhood the next day, so on and so forth. In this scene the umbrellas really caught my eye as they bunched up so closely together to protect the vendors from the glaring sun. I waited for a pedestrian with an umbrella to walk by to add an extra element to the scene. Trying to avoid distrating the viewer too much with a multitude of different colours, I converted it to B&W for simplicity sake. Feedback welcome... Link to comment
corbin 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Well-chosen angle gave you a nice composition. You should post the color original, it's got to be good! Link to comment
oofoto 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Fantastic original composition and I love the detail seen in the open areas - would look great as a large image. Link to comment
bstoch 0 Posted July 24, 2007 Excellent choice to compose so that the canopy opening is on a diagonal, it reallys adds to the wonderful dynamic power of the image. As you have so rightly emphasised by converting to B&W, this image's power is from all the repeatable patterns, right down to the wares on the tables. Well seen and very well captured!
