fabiangraham 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Chinese coal miner waiting for a blast in mine.....it was scarey down there...i was more scared than him though. Great experience. Comments welcome Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted June 19, 2006 This is a great capture but the face and forearms come across to me as having been over Photoshopped. Did you make adjustments to his skin? Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted June 19, 2006 I have seen quite many photos from rather interesting places in the world, but this rates propably to the top three positions... At least on the danger level-metering. This is very good documentary photo. The expression on his face and on his body, is petrified. I assume, that you have had to work on the levels adjustements on his skin - or is is bleaked, because of so little sun and also dust covered? Link to comment
fabiangraham 0 Posted June 19, 2006 yep, the guy was pretty scared. A lot of people have been killed in the mine blasting. I was just there to look for fossils. Had no idea they were blasting that day. Scared the living ***** out of me. Yep...skin tones.........was dark down there, so used a flash, and tried to recreate the original lighting conditions in PS. Thanks for the comments Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Fabian, do you have more photos from this shooting? It would be really fascinating to see more of them. Was it very moist place? Please, dont be offended, but why do his hands and sleeves shine like plastic? :-) Link to comment
fabiangraham 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Not sure.....as i said , was trying to recreate the lighting in the mine. Used Photoshop 6, render lighting effects .....maybe the settings were wrong, not sure.........I only took a few photos there, I was more focused on finding fossils, but will upload some more Link to comment
