craig_kunitsky 0 Posted February 9, 2002 Very pretty scene. The model must be quite chilly. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 4 Posted February 11, 2002 Beautiful scene & excellent composition with the V-shape of the valley reflected in the pose (as well as the water). The pose also portrays a sense of appreciation and connection with the surroundings which makes it a perfect example of the landscape nude concept. You do choose some interesting titles - I guess the mountains are the "maroon bells" but is there a particular allusion? ...Jonathan Link to comment
stephenh 0 Posted February 11, 2002 The Maroon Bells are indeed the mountains, a famous landmark near Aspen, Colorado. The "Fantasy" refers to the fact that this is a digital composition: the model and rock were shot about twelve months and about ten miles separate from the mountain scene. Link to comment
rdwhiteman 0 Posted February 12, 2002 Well executed. This is also a good argument against tatoos. Ok, it's just my opinion... Link to comment
dmadden51 0 Posted February 13, 2002 Model's forced pose seems to contrast witht the natural scene. Would like to see model relaxed and following contour of the boulders on which she sits. Link to comment
joshua 0 Posted February 23, 2002 The lighting angle on the model isn't quite right. Nice job on the shadow; it looks nice and diffuse, but she's just too bright and the sun should be further to the right. Link to comment
stephenh 0 Posted February 24, 2002 Actually, the model was photographed under quite overcast skies (hence the diffuse shadow). Since where the rock is "placed" in the Maroon Bells morning photo the sun would not yet be shining, the light is not far removed from the non-directional light coming from blue skies above. Anyway, I was looking for composition and fun here rather than perfection. Link to comment
dean_fleischman 0 Posted February 28, 2002 Beautiful scenen, beautiful model, excellent composition. I agree with Bob, however... Link to comment
dominique 0 Posted March 1, 2002 It's good as a souvernir from nice holidays with a girfriend but is not at all convincing as an artistic work. Link to comment
tony-mistretta 0 Posted March 5, 2002 I think it's an excellent picture of nature in its purest form. Link to comment
