will duquette 0 Posted June 17, 2006 I'm pretty much a novice at this as well, but I think this is quite nice. The rabbit is off-center, and looking toward the far edge. The rabbit's eye is nice and sharp, with "catchlights". The depth of field is limited so that the rabbit stands out against the background...but there's just enough sharply-focussed grass in the foreground to link the foreground with the background and provide some depth. You didn't try to get the entire rabbit in the picture, which would have been my failing when I was starting out; you don't need the whole rabbit to make a good picture. adamphotographic 0 Posted June 17, 2006 Nice composition - leaving the rabbit to the right uses his gaze to draw the viewer back across to the left. The lesser depth of field works well to pull him out of the background. Link to comment
