Hi tomasz, this is an outstanding shot, the tones are great, i love the way you have captured the subject and its shadow, realy nice work, maybe u could have included the rest of the arch in the frame, that is all i can humbly add, bravo and best regards, RK!

Thanks a lot, Everyone...It's people like you who make me strive to improve my technique / visualisation all the time...

Kodak T-MAX 400 film was slightly overexposed and developed in PC-TEA (it has to be scratch-mixed)to ensure the required tonal range.

Regards to All,

Tomasz

This is an excellent street photograph. The composition is very strong. Perhaps there could be more shadow at the bottom and on the left, which would make it 8/8. Interestingly, the anonymous raters give it a rather lower ranking. Perhaps Photo.net should scrap the anonymous ratings when five or more members have put in ratings.

Nice graphic shot! I used PC-TEA on tri-x once and it turned out really grainy. Your shot here looks pretty smooth. Must work better on Tmax.

I know well this location, and I can really say that this is a great photo of it! The lighting is very near perfection.

This is a very good black and white picture and a very balanced composition. The arch frames the model and the curved light in the foreground drives the eye first and then you meet the subject. I am particularly pleased that you got this result from film! My compliments.

My favourite of all your 60 posts.  Composition, subject placement, back light, excellent range of tones, superb details revealed in both highlights and shadow areas, and display of textures all combine to make this one a candidate for 'fine art' display, in my humble opinion.  Best offering I've seen in a while.  Best, LM.

I agree with Len. This is wonderfully composed with beautiful tones. The lady and the shadow is just perfect and you seem to have had enough light to bring out the tones in her outfit even though it is back lit. Congrats and keep up the very fine work you do.

PS when I used to do BW analog, I would use Ilford or agfa and i would use the german Rodinal developer and I would have had a weak dilution (1:100) with minimal agitation to bring out the shadow detail.
